Looking for first road bike or a perfect experience for your daily road commutes, then Vilano Forza 4.0 packs some interesting features up its sleeve that you will absolutely love. Here is our rundown of the best and the worst of the Vilano Forza 4.0.

Vilano Forza 4.0 Aluminum Road Bike Features and Benefits:

Initial Impressions

If this will be your first bike, we recommend you to get some advice regarding assembly from a local bike shop, however for the mechanically inclined the assembly will be fairly simple. Once done, you will appreciate the lightweight aluminum frame and the overall construction seems pretty solid. It comes with triple cranksets and integrated bring shifters which give you a smooth ride. (More on that Later).

Apart from that tire quality seems average and won’t hold if you plan to go some bumpy rides occasionally.

A lightweight Frame

The aluminum frame is the shining armor for this road bike. It uses a butted 6011 frame (which is endurance tested) and at the same time its fairly lightweight. This makes your riding easier, especially if you are commuting for long hours. But since this isn’t steel, be prepared from some jarring as aluminum doesn’t absorb vibrations that well.

Integrated Shifters

If convenience is your thing, then you will find the integrated Shifters of the Vilano Forza 4.0 quite pleasing. They are located right behind the brake levers and can be accessed even if your hands are on the hoods.

Triple crankset bikes usually come with 21 speeds, but Vilano stretches the bike with 24. This makes it possible to reach high speeds and you can get the ultimate riding experience on those bright & sunny days. From fitness point of view, this will make you sweat.

However, the gear range is low, which makes this a no go for competitive cyclists. (Check Out Forza 2.0 for that).

The Bad

Everything ain’t pretty with the Forza 4.0, and the seats are downright disappointing. There are uncomfortable and we highly recommend getting a replacement.

Planet Bike A.R.S. SaddleFor Long Commutes

As we said earlier, the tires aren’t the most durable, and you will need a replacement after about 700 miles or so.

Recommended For

To sum it up, the a combination of solid lightweight frame and convenient shifters, make this a great choice for first timers, who are looking to invest in a good road bike.

Also, if you ride for long distances, you will love the Forza 4.0.
